Honduras

My one day in MI was busier than anticipated since my luggage had been pilfered and my camera stolen sometime during my Doha to Detroit travels (presumably in Detroit—imagine that). I had to drive back to the airport to show my damaged luggage and initiate the paperwork. There was so much to do and so little time…and I could not stay up late because my flight for San Pedro Sula departed DTW at 6AM. However, with some help from my brother (and by the grace of God), I was able to get everything accomplished.

Saturday morning was a killer. Since my brother lives about an hour from the airport and I had to turn in my rental car, my alarm was set for 3AM **UGH**. I was still fighting jet lag from the Doha flight…and with the Honduras flight, I had gone through 9 time zones in 36 hours. Thankfully, I was able to sleep most of the flight (total flying time about 6 hours)…and was awakened by the flight attendant as we began our initial descent.

The views while flying in were breathtaking.
Our flight was greeted by health officials—

“No, I have not ‘handled any pigs’.”

My passport number was jotted down, and I was sent on my way through immigration.
My Honduras adventure begins!

Once our eyes are opened, we cannot pretend we don't know what to do. God, who weighs our hearts and keeps our souls, knows what we know, and He holds us responsible to ACT.
